back in 1986 I caught my first fresh water wave just south of tunnel park. it was huge that mid September day, especially for 13 year old kid. I was with my dad. he wanted me to body surf like he had grown up doing but i had a boogie board. he drug me through the surf to the second sand bar where he let go and said "hang on" next thing ya know i was getting pounded by white water, but it was the first of many encounters with that white water. there werent any shapers around here back then. its awesome that there are now. sweet video
