Geriatric Beige

So, I get ready to glass this thing, tape it off, cut the glass, etc. Then I realize, I am out of white pigment. The next closest color I have is beige, which is either going to look like a million bucks, or a buck ninety nine. I am thinking that white hardware, logos, and a white pinline will do the trick. We'll see...

Welcome to the world of surfboard building and surfing in the Great Lakes. Though our waves can't compete with most major breaks in the world, we do get plenty of decent surf, without the crowds. Some people compare surfing on the lakes to what surfing used to be on the ocean in the 60's and 70's. We are still trying to figure out what type of boards work well in fresh water, there are many undiscovered surf spots, and the community here is among the most welcoming. So here we are, enjoy.
That color is dope, nothing geriatric about it! Coming from a guy who wears old man's shoes...

ReplyDeleteJustin, don't think of it as "beige". Our "beige" color at the shop is called "Champagne" and is a super dope color!
